Hi first time of posting on here, wondered if anyone could give me some tips on doing W5R3 tomorrow.
20 mins seems such a long time!
I want to do it but already am thinking I’m going to fail.
Help 😁
Thanks
Di

I know how you're feeling, I'd suggest slowing your pace and believing in your abilities. It felt like a real hurdle to me too but if you've got this far you CAN do it. Good luck and believe
You know, most people seem to feel exactly the same about this run - I know that I did! After 5 minutes I thought no way would I complete it, but it gradually got easier so that by the end I could actually have done another minute or two. What worked for me was going really slowly. The programme is very cleverly designed to push us, but only as far as we are able for. You will be able to do it! The sense of achievement at the end is amazing! (And if it doesn't work out, just treat it as a practice and go again in a couple of days).
Slow and steady - even slower if you get out of puff. We’ve all felt the same anticipation! I can guarantee you’ll be elated once you’ve done it. Also a straight 20min run will feel very confortable in the coming weeks of long runs. Have faith and you will do it. Good luck!!
Hi! You CAN do it! Take your mind off the time with a different playlist or podcast( if you listen to stuff when running), drink lots today to avoid that heavy leg feeling and take all the good advice about taking some speed off, especially in the first 10 mins. And limber up those facial muscles for the big smile you’ll have for hours afterwards!
Go really really slow. Have a great playlist or a podcast to distract you! You will do it!!
You have already done 16 minutes of running with a five minute brisk walking interval in the middle.......total 21 minutes.
The difference in energy expenditure between a brisk walk and a gentle jog is minimal.
Relax and enjoy it.
