Have heard everything about this run. Some love it, some hate it.

The majority say, take it slow, but as others have mentioned on here, I don't seem to be able to slow it down.

What is slow exactly? Up to now (I only time the actual run/walk bits, not the warm up and warm down), my average is about 7.56 / km.

Just try not to overthink it, it's what you've worked towards, just go at 'your' easy pace & try to enjoy it 🍀😉👍

Slow is a pace at which you can speak full ungasping sentences as you run, as explained in the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

For most people it is the run that makes them believe that they will finish the plan.

Practice grinning beforehand.

When I ran it on Monday I started off thinking I have to last 20 minutes so went at a gentle pace I felt I could maintain “indefinitely”. I managed it fine so as they say “trust the programme!”😊

Thanks everyone.

I’m hoping run 3 goes well tomorrow and I get to run it in the daytime which might help as usually I have to do it after work in the dark and my route is literally four times around the block as I know where all the “dips” in the road are.

You’ve done the time already just not in one go. You’ll walk it. Meant you’ll slow pace it and be amazed at the end. Just don’t be tempted to run for longer!

Not what you're looking for?
