Week 6 done - wow, that was tough!

Hmm... some mornings I bound out of bed and can't wait to get my treadmill up and "play with my new toy"...

...this was definitely not one of those mornings!

Felt really groggy and lethargic and, after putting it off for a couple of hours, I started to get the treadmill out - this time it didn't feel like a new toy, instead it felt a bit like preparing your own torture chamber!!

So... I did complete the run, all 25 minutes of it, but it was such a struggle. None of this "think of other things" stuff, I was literally counting down the minutes and seconds all the way through.

And afterwards Jo Whiley said something along the lines of "you must feel epic, bet you can't wait to tell all your friends what you've done". I was thinking. no Jo, while you may now be my new BFF, you've got it seriously wrong there... what I want to do now is find a quiet corner to curl up in and die :)

Ah well, it's done now, and with three more 25-minute runs up next in week 7, hopefully they will start to get a bit easier.

Thanks! Re the outdoors... well maybe - I found this one so tough, I'm thinking I may have one more 25m run on the treadmill first. Depends how I feel (and the weather) on Friday morning.

Well done!! I've had times like that when I've been counting down and not enjoying it at all. I get to the end with mixed feelings. Glad I've done it but not glad by the way I felt while doing it. Have fun when you start outside 😊

Slow it all down and relax into the longer runs that is what they are for :) Well done!

PS

If you get outside it will be even better:)
