Just finished second run of week four, its ok keep going xx
Keep going, week two is a nice progression...also, I like that week three puts a little challenge to things but enough to handle. Week 4, I'm so far okay, nothing I can't take. Week 5 looks daunting. I say that laughing because I'm just grateful I'm getting through this.
#perseverance
Keep running, have fun!!
Me too on Sunday we will be fine!!
Did my 1st week 4 run yesterday and was really pleased with how it went. Keep going.
Me too! I thought I'd struggle and okay I did for about a minute and then caught my stride. There's a castle near my house with a huge pond/small lake...that's my run spot and if I finish the routine before I've gotten back to where my car is, I just try to run extra to push and I did that yesterday too.
Bring on wk 4/ run 2!!
Good luck!!
Well done you should be very proud of what you’ve achieved so far, just keep doing what you’re doing, you’ll be fine.
Just maybe be a little cautious of doing too many extra minutes, because your body may not quite be ready for it, and you might be risking an injury... but it sounds like you’re doing fantastically, go you!!
I really appreciate that advice because it's been five years since I have been medically cleared for getting back into exercise at this level. I used to be in the gym two hours a day, six days a week until the medical problems started (unrelated to exercise)... last summer I was cleared, decided to tackle my fear of running. I'd do anything but run. I came to love it then fell and tore my MCL so I was benched until January but then the weather where I live went crazy so no runs. Now in week 4 I feel good but my husband, a GP, keeps reminding me I don't want to risk my knee again.
Anyway I do need to be reminded to slow my roll because I'm an overachiever and perfectionist and I forget I've been out of the fitness game a while.
Thanks!!
Thanks everyone!!!! ☺️☺️☺️
