My calves seem to catch fire from the get go! Always been my barrier to running..I do have what my sister refers to as the family legs๐ ..i.e quite chunky calf muscles..maybe that's the cause?..anyway I have found slowing down to a frustratingly low pace helps me through..so that may be what you need to do for your truoblesome shins till they know who's boss!! Keep going !

I just did W2R2, weโre doing great, we just need to keep at it.
Itโs easier in some ways. I found the hardest thing about week one was actually having to slow down and walk, as though getting going again was harder than just, well, going!
Week 2 is better in that respect, as you only do six repetitions. They are longer and so my knees have taken a bit of a battering, but on average Iโd say Iโm actually enjoying it more!
I suffer with the shin burn too, I find slowing down my run but completing the time better than speed
