Well I might be a slow, bald fatty, but today I fought back! Free of children and the ASBO dog, I waited for the afternoon heat to subside a little and got out there to knock off week 4. (The perceptive ones here will notice that I claimed to complete week 4 previously. I suspect the lack of oxygen to my brain had made counting to 3 tricky at the time!). I ran only yesterday so was a little anxious about missing the rest day, but tomorrow is my birthday and I know I'm expected in the pub all afternoon with comrades, so no run is going to happen tomorrow and I'll be very dusty for Thursday's outing too!
Any how, I knew next week starts by stepping things up to 8 mins, and I wanted to have an 8 minute under my XXL belt before then, to go into the dreaded week 5 with some confidence. So after the last set of 5 mins I just kept going... And stopped when Laura told me my 5 minute warm down was finished. I make that 10 MINUTES!
COME ON WEEK 5... YOU DON'T FRIGHTEN ME!

Well done! If your birthday is a heavy one there's nothing wrong with taking an extra rest day 😉
You do yourself a disservice- you are now a runner! Look how far you've come - so not that unfit hey? I've just started W5 today & was surprised that it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. This programme really does work. Take it slow & gentle. Have a fab birthday.
Hats off...have two runs W1 done and have peeped at the programme ahead, which mebbe isn’t such a good idea but I have to say I applaud everyone who has made it to W5 and more..keep going and inspiring the rest of us 💪😃
