I started couch to 5k 2 weeks ago and I was loving it however the treadmill at my gym stopped working and therefore I stopped and fell into bad eating habits 🙃 but the treadmill is back working now and I don’t know whether to restart week 1 or go straight to week 2. Has anyone else just carried on after time out??

Carry on... slow and steady, and maybe even venture outdoors... the weather is grand :)

Thank you! But I don’t think I have enough confidence to go outside just yet but maybe one day 😊

I felt the same, lacking confidence but I found a nice 'quiet!' little road that ive done all my runs on so far up to week 6. The only people I pass normally are cyclists who mostly just often say hello!

Try week 2, see how it goes. If it's tough then drop back to week 1. The main thing is to just do something. It's too easy to quit.

I understand you don't have the confidence to go outside yet. I have found the only people who laugh at me are the ones who do not exercise at all. So really the joke is on them.

Also the good thing about running outside is that when you run down a slope (I'm avoiding big hills for now) is that they give you a free ride. WoooHooo!

Lace up those running shoes and get back on that treadmill. PLEASE!

Hi! I’ve just started W3. I reckon you could start W2 and if it’s too tough go back to W1.

As far as the treadmill goes - don’t be pressured into going outside. I’m a treadmill runner (along with a full program of other stuff at the gym). There are pros to the treadmill. 1)I never got injured on a treadmill but the pavement hurt me and put me out of action for years. 2) the gym is air conditioned (don’t know about yours) 3) no sunburn in the gym 4) as I already said when I finish the treadmill I do 3 other cardio machines plus resistance machines.

I know running outside has benefits. I’m sure after this reply you will read loads! 😂
