W4R1 Can’t believe I did it!

After an afternoon of trying to think of a reason not to start Week 4 (yes I know it’s Thursday!) I thought I may as well just do it. First run of 3mins a bit hard to get through. First run of 5mins I had to walk for two lamp posts after about 3mins, then I started running again. After that it was ok. Sure I saw a slug overtake me on final minute of the last five mins as I had to slow right down. But I kept going. Thankfully I won’t be running again until Sunday!!!

On a Monday I run with a group for my run 1s so much easier with support of group and knowing they struggle just as much. For my other runs I’m on my own. No one to motivate me except my pride

I’m off tomorrow. Probably towpath. My ‘coach ‘ suggests we keep of roads and use softer ground although I have done roads as well . For my 65 birthday I’m doing Silchester fun run with my grandkids!

Hi, I try to run on grass where I can as the ground absorbs the impact. Guess what? I’m doing the Silchester Fun Run too! My daughter, husband & granddaughter are running the 5miles. I’m doing the 2.5miles with my 6year grandson. We’ll walk & run as he is young. We both want our first runners bling!!!

I’ll see you there then. I’m doing the short run walk too. I’m hoping to have a birthday balloon attached to me !
