Week 6 Run 1 Unexpectedly Challenging!

Just done the run and after the 20 min run thought I’d be fine. But anyone else find the 8 min section a bit challenging/went on forever??

Yep. Same experience. Everyone seems to agree that week 6 is particularly hard.

Yeah, me too. Just done run 2 of week 6. 2x10 minute runs. After this it seems to be straight 25 minute or lo ger runs. I am a bit concerned

Funnily enough I was looking at that last night.

I'm a couple of weeks behind you (week 4) but looked at the spreadsheet that shows what each run looks like, and was wondering why w6r1 was, on the face of it, "easier" than w5r3. So I checked on this forum for what people had said about it - lots said they found it much harder than w5r3, and were puzzled about why. Conclusion was probably the stop/start was harder than just keeping going.

So don't worry, you're not alone!

...and I'll look forward, if that's the right word, to having that experience myself in a couple of weeks :)

Yeah the intervals in week 6 I found really tricky, I found it the hardest week so far but I'm now onto week 7 and it's all ok again

Thank goodness. Was beginning to think Wk 6 might put me off going any further.

Tough. I’ll be glad to just get on to solid uninterrupted runs. Who’d have thought I’d say THAT 6 weeks ago? Perhaps that’s why they throw W2Rs1and 2 in, just to make you feel unsettled and wanting to get on with it..
