Week 4 run 1

My first post here... So I'm on week 4 and really thought I'd not manage the 5 minutes run today, but I did it!

I've not run for over 20 years, I'm over weight, had hip surgery last year ( torn the lining), but I absolutely astonished at what I'm actually achieving. I actually want to go running, ....I hate running...or I used to.

The later weeks look daunting but I'm going to give them a go

Well done and keep going...

It’s really good for me to see someone a bit further along actually doing the runs I’m concerned about!!

Thank you...I struggled to run the 1 minutes in the first week, but I'm so pleased I've not given up... honestly if I can do it, anyone can

Welcome fellow week 4 mate.

5 mins does feel like a real achievement doesn’t it.

I couldn't believe how "easy" the 3 minutes was, and was pleasantly surprised that the first 5 minutes was actually ok...the second 5 minutes run was much harder...sure I was almost walking at a couple of points...but I kept going 😁

Last run was my toughest too but kept going if only just.

3 mins seems like a breeze now yet last week I was dreading that. Funny that!!

Delightful not daunting... slow and steady and enjoy. You are ready for them... well done you!

Well done you! I did w4r1 yesterday and I'll be honest I didn't think in a million years I'd be able to do it. But do it I did!

It's an amazing feeling to know you can do more than you expect of yourself isn't it?

Having said that w5r3 scares the bejesus out of me 😂

Not what you're looking for?
