W3R3 - Complete - Awful Run 😭

Did not enjoy that run at all..... parts of me were niggling, it was hot and have decided don't like running late morning am an early morning runner.

I did it, didn't stop but am sure I was slower than normal. Now my dilemma is do I repeat week 3 or not. This weekend am away and would normally start my new week on Saturday but that is out of the question so hotel gym on Friday afternoon or their 1000 acres of land if weather nice enough.

What are your thoughts in probably extending week 3 just til I feel more comfortable.

Feel disillusioned 😣😣

You did it, well done!

The programme is structured so that you do not have to think about it, if you complete the run move on to the next.

You can do it, slow and steady, speed does not matter! Enjoy your weekend !

Don't be downhearted. You completed the run. Some will be harder than others.

A week does not have to be a week. It can be 8, 10, 14 days, whatever you want. This is a nine stage training program. Just fit it around your life.

As Millsie-J says.. you did it... so move on, steady and slow. Make sure this weather, as always you are well hydrated too:)

Well done! If you completed w3 OK then go onto w4, some runs can feel awful, you're a new runner! just remember go slow & steady it doesn't matter about speed in this, slower the better, just do the times. It does get a tad uncomfortable at about midday with the temp rising, so maybe change your time of day to train, and make sure you keep well hydrated all of the time, and I don't mean drinking loads of water just before you run.😊

It's all here in this excellent link..

Lou, first of all Congratulations on completing week 3.

I would not repeat a session, just start the next week.

The question is when to do it. You could take an extra day if you feel you need to; I take two days after each week is completed.

Anyway, I'm sure you don't want me catching you up, do you...?

Ha Ha, you may very well.catch me up πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Normally I take two days in between each week too, but the thought of getting up mega early on a weekend away with no kids is just a big NO.....

After everyone's advice will prob start week 4 on Friday afternoon and prey for a miracle πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”
