Went quite a lot further to the halfway point than on Monday, thought this is good I must be going faster, turned around to come back and it was sooo windy!! The way back was like wading through treacle!
Somehow, miraculously, I managed to finish almost exactly where I satrted so I must have kept my pace up!
Anyone got any tips on breathing? I think my breaths might be a bit too shallow but I can't seem to correct it x

for breathing i use the count 4 in and 4 out method - really helps keep me in rhythm and controlled. If i get out of breath i just slow down and then pick up once recovered. Hope it helps
Just breathe.. anyway that you do all the time..if you are struggling, then slow down If you begin trying to count or pace, then it can make matters worse...
Agree about the wind, I find windy days the worst to run in - although I have yet to experience a really wet run (looks like I am in for it this week for W4R2!).
When I have tried to take up running before (without C25K), I struggled with breathing. Now having practised more Pilates breathing and been taught deep breathing low in the abdomen (not at Pilates), I have not so far had any of the breathlessness or shallow breathing I used to do. I am also fitter generally, so no doubt that has helped.
Maybe a google search for deep breathing exercises? Easy to do at home, but many of us have never realised we were breathing shallowly, rather than expanding lower rib cage.
Thanks for the tips. I play Clarinet and breathe diaphramatically for that but somehow I struggle to do that when moving! Am going to have to learn though as I'll have to play whilst marching in the Army
