Just finished week 2 running to park. Put in the earphones and Lycra and to everyone else you are just another jogger! Iβm 64 and think my health is more important than what people think but that is the only advantage of getting older! Courage fellow jogger!
Well done finishing week 2 and having the courage to run to the park . I was all ready to go out the door this morning and talked myself out of it then ran in the garden . If at 64 you can do it then I'm sure I can get my confidence up to get out and do it
Well done for starting π
Don't feel self conscious about venturing out though. Feel proud of yourself for getting out thereπ€
Thankyou .Glad I've started it even though it was only in the garden .Hopefully round the park soon π
You will have to head out soon..unless you have a very BIG garden... get out there.. the wide world is amazing and we runners.. we rock!

Have you checked this post for Newbies out... ? Great advice here
Welcome to you... you are in good company... our lovely forum friend McFitty started this in her garden...
Take it steady and take it slow and well done
Welcome and well done.

It's so great you've done your first run! Well done. I'm one run ahead of you π I totally get the self consciousness. But I figured it's none of my business what other people think. I found after my first run it didn't even cross my mind, I was too busy trying to breathe lol. Good luck, you'll get out there when you're ready girl x
Don't worry about what other people think! But if you are worried, can you go somewhere away from home and run there, so you don't worry about seeing anyone you know? Plus if you keep running round in circles you will end up all lop-sided
Well done you! I did my first run today and I also did it in my garden, though my garden is quite big. At first it seemed huge, by the end it felt very small Good luck with your 2nd run, I'm a day behind you, so I wait with baited breath for your feedback (My 2nd run is Wednesday and I AM going to the park!)
Well done for giving this a go! Iβm a complete novice and just back from my first run. Like you, I was apprehensive about been seen outside, all sweaty and as red as a tomato! However it is easier than you think - you just need to get your feet off your garden threshold. Like you i tried to talk myself out of starting today but Iβm glad I did. I hope you find the motivation to do too π
