Just finished week 2 running to park. Put in the earphones and Lycra and to everyone else you are just another jogger! I’m 64 and think my health is more important than what people think but that is the only advantage of getting older! Courage fellow jogger!

Well done finishing week 2 and having the courage to run to the park . I was all ready to go out the door this morning and talked myself out of it then ran in the garden . If at 64 you can do it then I'm sure I can get my confidence up to get out and do it

I felt the same after my first run so splashed out on running shoes and (cheap) matching shorts and top, at least I look the part! (apart from the muffin top! 😁

Well done for starting 😊

Don't feel self conscious about venturing out though. Feel proud of yourself for getting out thereπŸ€—

Thankyou .My gardens not that big felt like I was running round in circles . Reading everyone stories is good and the support from fellow runners is great .For RUN2 I'm definitely getting the courage to run to the park ☺

It's so great you've done your first run! Well done. I'm one run ahead of you πŸ˜€ I totally get the self consciousness. But I figured it's none of my business what other people think. I found after my first run it didn't even cross my mind, I was too busy trying to breathe lol. Good luck, you'll get out there when you're ready girl x

Don't worry about what other people think! But if you are worried, can you go somewhere away from home and run there, so you don't worry about seeing anyone you know? Plus if you keep running round in circles you will end up all lop-sided :-)

lol I think I've always been a bit lopsided πŸ˜‚ .

Well done you! I did my first run today and I also did it in my garden, though my garden is quite big. At first it seemed huge, by the end it felt very small :D Good luck with your 2nd run, I'm a day behind you, so I wait with baited breath for your feedback (My 2nd run is Wednesday and I AM going to the park!) ;)

Well done for giving this a go! I’m a complete novice and just back from my first run. Like you, I was apprehensive about been seen outside, all sweaty and as red as a tomato! However it is easier than you think - you just need to get your feet off your garden threshold. Like you i tried to talk myself out of starting today but I’m glad I did. I hope you find the motivation to do too 😁
