First Park Run!

I finally did my first park run today. I’ve been doing consolidation runs for a few weeks now but had still to take the plunge and do the park run, I loved it and what a great well organised fun morning it was. It was quite a slow run but It wasn’t about that it was the fun of going with friends and enjoying ourselves. I will go again and try to go a bit faster than 36 mins!

After getting up on some of these dark mornings when it’s raining I’ve had a few times I’ve questioned why I do this but today has reminded me why I enjoy running.

I’ll be up again Monday morning doing my run!👍🏼😄

Congratulations on your first parkrun. It's a great thing to be reminded why we run and the feeling is amazing. Well done you 😊

Congratulations. I put off parkrun for ages. Most people are so friendly and supportive and it doesn't matter if you go round in 16 minutes or 56, you all run the same distance.

Many congratulations!

Anniversary this weekend of my very first parkrun a year ago! My Saturday mornings have changed greatly and it is the marshalling I enjoy mostly😊. Hope to start running again soon - after my recent fall on my first 10K and injuring my ribs. Quite looking forward to getting to know NHS Laura again - probably around week 4 of C-5K programme!

Happy anniversary! Real shame about the fall on your first 10k though. Best of luck getting back to the running. Let us know how it’s going👍🏼
