Having a two day break instead of one

Having a two day break instead of one purely because it was 9pm by the time I was actually available to go out to run and felt it a bit late to run alone around my local park . Ya reckon it will effect my run tomorrow ? On run 3 wk 4

Not at all! I've been doing the same for Week 8 and don't feel any difference 😊

I completed it on Friday. It's not easy but I love the feeling afterwards 😊 I start week 9 tomorrow. Keep with it...it's so worth it. I'm loving the longer runs now!

I always have a 2 daybreak between finishing one week and starting a new one. Not had any problems so far and I am on wk 7. You should be okay 😊

You won't notice any difference at all - I have two one day breaks and a two day break every week. I'm progressing pretty well and always feel ready to move on. It's not rigid - go with the flow!

Starting week 8 tomorrow 😨

I've come a long way - before you know it you'll be sailing along for 25 minutes and thinking "how did I get here?". It's just crazy, this running lark, isn't it!

Never in a million years did I think I'd be looking forward to going for a RUN!

My runs have always been Sunday morning, Wednesday morning and Thursday evening. Not quite enough break between 2 and 3 but a good break between 3 and run 1 of the following week. It has worked for me. I'm an unfit fatty. Today was W8R1. 28 minutes! I've amazed myself. Keep going. 😊

It's not easy. I won't lie. In the first five to ten minutes I tell myself I can't do it and will need to stop. I run really, really slowly and just keep plodding. Each time I seem to run a little further or a little faster. I'm getting there. Today I did 2.9k in 28 minutes. It was a slog. I'm dragging extra weight around with me so it's very hard but I'm doing it. I could be sitting on the sofa doing nothing. Afterwards, I feel amazing. I don't intend to ever stop. 😊🏃🏻🏃🏻

The regime of 3 runs per week mean that there has to be a 2 day break. Don't worry about it.

Since I started W8 I've had two rest days between each run - I have a tendency towards shin splints and I'd rather take longer to finish the programme by allowing my legs a bit longer to recover than rush it and end up injured. You have to do what you have to do - we're people not machines and we're all programmed differently so if you need two rest days then take two rest days! Yesterday was W9R1 and I'm DEFINITELY going to need two rest days until I run again - I can feel it in my shins despite orthotics and stability trainers plus a trillion stretches afterwards!
