Sometimes it feels like the runs are a bit of a challenge, a real uphill climb.... but, the days are brightening and the weather, for some of us, is improving. It is great to see so many of us out there and just enjoying ourselves at all levels. Really good also, to see all the support between the forum friends
Welcome to the fourth week of the April, What is your Week?
The idea of, "What is your Week" ?
Every week we are going to put up a post, so you can add in a little post underneath, to say what week you are planning to do this week.
Sample post (feel free to put as much or as little as you like):
“Hi, I'm Oldfloss, and this week, I am doing the dreaded, week 5 run 3... help!, any tips guys? ”
We are growing so much at the moment and we wanted to have a little fun post ,so we can see who is on what week of the programme, and hopefully it will help everyone to feel more included on the forum.
Please remember it doesn't matter if you stay on the same week for a while, that is fine; it is a journey and it really doesn't matter how long it takes, it will be so worth it when you get to the final run.
At the end of the month there will be a Certificate for you to download and keep; just a little memento of the fact you have completed a whole month of the program. Another full month of running for you.
If you have just graduated, this will be a great place to keep you motivated, there is always the Quest on the Bridge to 10k forum as well, for Graduates.
I will add all the names from this week under this post. Every week for the month of April, the names will roll over into another post.
Let's get a good list going so we can support each other.
(Come on you lurkers, you can do it as well. ?)

Great idea.💡 I just finished week 1 on Thursday and loved the fact that I am actually running! Unfortunately I’ve sprained my ankle so will be out of the game for about a week 🤦🏻♀️sooo upset. I’ll probably start back at the beginning again so good to know it doesn’t matter.
I’m W6R2 here! 😁 if you had told me a few months ago, that I would be getting up early on a Sunday morning so I could go for a run, I would have laughed, a lot! 🤣 but I love it! Keep up the fab work everyone! Xx
Hi! This is a great idea, what supportive community 😀
I’m about to start week 2. I’m really enjoying it so far and even surprised myself by doing a run whilst on holiday. I was wondering what time of the day everyone prefers running? I ran when I woke up today and i felt more energised 💪🏼 Good luck with the week ahead all.
I completed my first post graduation run today, did 30 minutes with MJ (just repeated week9 R1) he isn’t getting rid of me just yet, I’m sure at some point I will have to be brave and run without him, but not yet! I went further and faster today, than last Thursday (graduation day), it wasn’t any easier but equally wasn’t any harder. I guess forwards is the best way to go!
I'm starting W3 tomorrow. I might have to repeat one run of W2 but will see how it goes. If using the app, how do you repeat a run without erasing the logged runs so far?
I am still in week 4, up next is w4r3. Got a cold last week, managed one run before it moved into my chest. Not sure how much longer I can give it before I head out for a run anyway - the sun is finally shining and we are into double digit temperatures!! If I can’t run this week I’ll definitely be doing some trail walking to keep myself moving.
Hello I’m Jane and I’m starting W4 this week, completed W3 today and really enjoyed it! Lovely daughter age 14 accompanying mama which is wonderful. Knee playing up a bit annoyingly so taking it very gradual. Fingers (and knees!) crossed that it behaves itself for this week as I’m really wanting to keep running more than ever, it’s been an absolute revelation to me and I wish I’d been braver to try it years ago!!! By the way, this forum is good for the soul as well as good for everything else!
I’m going to put it on here as I still can’t quite believe I’ve got this far: I’m starting Week 8 tomorrow!!! How can that be???! I could graduate next week all things being well???? That’s just mad!!!
Well done... I average 10 miles each Tuesday and Wednesday with my granddaughter... 5 in the a.m. and 5 in the p.m.... easing off now she is walking... now I just chase her
I will be doing week 1 run 3 tomorrow but I think I am going to repeat this week as I am not totally happy with moving on just yet. Managed run 2 yesterday at a slower pace than the first one and it felt much better.
Bought new shoes on Saturday and ended up with a blister yesterday I am hoping it was the socks and not the shoes as I cant take them back now. Have purchased new socks so will see how it goes tomorrow.
Just relax... slow and steady...think of other things. Make up names for stuff or people as you pass... make up silly rhymes in your head. You can do this...just believe it
My next run is w6r3. First one I'm feeling apprehensive about in a while. I am beginning to "come out" to friends about running, so maybe that's subconsciously putting extra pressure on...??
Today was my first run after graduating and I was feeling very nervous about being able to do it but happy I did. Thanks Old Floss and Bluebirdrunner, from no longer a “grey ghost” 😁
After finding w6 r1&2 a bit tough I was worried about r3 but I've only gone and done it 😊 It really is all psychological, and I'm going to do my first parkrun this weekend which I'm now quite excited about
