wk2 run2 done

just completed week2 run2 and that was hard. I found it worse second time than first. kept the run parts very slow and I was really huffing and puffing. Can’t believe how unfit I have let myself get😓. It felt very warm ☀️as it’s a lovely day - I think I prefer jogging in the cool damp weather. Had to resist a strong urge to put my hand in the biscuit tin when I got home🍪😊

But resist you did!(?) It gets easier to resist as you get real results!

Some runs really do feel tough but we never said it was easy! 👍😉

But you did it! And you didn’t pop your hand in the biscuit tin so well done 😀

I did week 2, run 3 today and loved it. But if it helps, W2R2 was my worst run, after it I actually questioned why I’m bothering.... so pleased I forced myself to go this morning because I felt so much stronger! Keep going x

Just finished that one this evening too with my daughter for company! Yes mentally challenging but we did it however slow. Instead of going to the biscuits I’m now on here- far more uplifting than a Mcvities!! Back out Monday for more shuffling 😀

Huffing and puffing? Slow down some more.

If you cannot fill your lungs fully, you will not provide your muscles with the oxygen they need and you will tire quickly. Slow down to easy conversational pace. This will get faster as you get fitter, but as a new runner it is the correct pace for you.
