Painful hip!

Hello I’ve got to wk3 run2 and my left hip is complaining more and more... any advice out there?

Side of hip? Front of hip?

Probably just overdoing it. Slow down, make sure you are stretching. Maybe have an extra rest day before the next one if it doesn't settle overnight. 👍

Thanks! Realised my trainers aren’t really up to ‘proper’ exercise...!

My hips hurt in the first couple of weeks but I have just finished week 4 and it seems to have stopped. Maybe our hips just wonder what’s going on 😀

First, slow down.... if you have followed the slow and steady advice, is there an underlying problem? We are not medical experts and if there is pain, then please get it checked out.

We do expect aches and pains at the start of this... but if the problem persists then make sure you warm up well and stretch after every run :)

Thanks! I haven’t had this pain before- or done any running either- but maybe stretching would help. As it’s a side pain, what would you recommend ?
