Well I have just completed the C25k last night. I have never run any distance in my life and therefore at the grand age of 59 and overweight managed 5k in 39mins. If 9 weeks ago I had been told this is what I would achieve I would have been sceptical. It is a real tribute to the programme to get even me to this point. Was it easy - no. Did I always want to run in the dark and cold- no. We’re there times I thought I would never get there - yes. Was it worth it - absolutely and I plan now to consolidate and start park runs. Be encouraged- keep goingπŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸƒπŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸƒπŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸƒπŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

Congratulations. You are inspiring me. I have done run 2 of week 2 and doing number 3 tonight having never run before. At the moment I think my inflexible Achilles and knees are holding me back more than my aerobic fitness. It amuses me that I seem to be able to walk faster than I can run. It's great to hear from those who have graduated from a similar place

Dammit Baz - take that 'Senior' out of your name...you're making the rest of us fogies here look bad! LOL :)

Seriously though - that is a great time and you are in the less than ten percent who finish in 9 weeks and the even lesser percentage that finish with distance also! :)

Congratulations Graduate! :)
