Started today as I’ve been putting it off now for over a week.

What can I say OMG my heart is pumping outta my chest, my lungs are still burning like I’m a circus fire eater jeeeeesus !!!

My legs are like lead and I feel like I’m having a heart attack looool

It’s just starting pouring down so I’m soaked to the skin hahahahaha.

Hey ho all good I didn’t think I’d ever do it but I’m glad I have. Rest tomorrow and have another go Thursday 👊👍💪💪

Well that rain should put out the fire at least! 😉

You are very probably going too fast. Slow and steady is all that is required.

Read the FAQ here...lots of great info.

Slow down, at this point it is about finishing or getting round.

It will get easier I promise

Well done. Slow down a little if you can and you might feel a little less uncomfortable.

My journey started the same way! I was probably going too fast, but fast or slow, it was a lot like you described! Just keep at it. All that hard work will be worth it!

Well done. I’ve just finished week 3 and found it way easier than week 1 despite longer running times. As others have said, keep it slow and steady and you will build up your stamina each week. I haven’t run since school, so over 25 years, and I’m loving it now. It’s really good at de stressing me after a tough day at work or with the kids! Keep going, you will surprise yourself!

I know your feeling! How do you get past the chest burning, lung explosions? If I go any slower , I reckon I’ll go backwards!

Well done on starting. You'll be graduating before you know it. Most people think they are not going too fast but generally are. All you need is the running motion (both feet off the ground during your stride). You can walk faster than you need to run at this stage. Good Luck

Good on you starting it. I love your description of a circus fire eater's lungs 😂. Started relatively recently myself & it's great fun. Enjoy!

Aha you did it though... so now you know what the plan does . It’s a stretch run by run, week by weekend in just a cou0e you will look back at the first one and giggle at how hard you found it. Well done you for taking the first step. Happy running
