I dont know if it's just me, but week 7 was the first time I haven't felt like the runs were a battle the whole way through. Sure I would have moments where you lose yourself in the music and just run, but then I would notice the pain or how far I had to go 😂 but by run 3 of week 7 I just really enjoyed the run and found it relaxing 🤷♀️ it didn't feel strenuous because my fitness is there now 💪
I owe this programme a lot. My heart will certainly thank it later in life ❤

Yes 100% this. I think the early weeks of building up are actually harder. By the end of week 7 you've overcome that mental barrier of non-stop running and you know that you can physically do it. It's a good feeling - well done
When I think back to th early weeks and how much grit you need to have to push through, it blows my mind how far I've come 😅 if people can get through the early weeks they are on the home straight
You are correct , I also owe this programme a lot . After the loss of a very dear friend at the end of January, I needed something to make me pull my socks up . And , that’s what this programme gave me . I am sure I am not the only person needing a redirection either.
You are now a runner heading into your W8 , prep week for W9 , your achievement week , which I have no doubt what’s so ever you will excel.
I like your observations re pain or distance you have covered , or still have to do ! whilst lost in your run.
Out of interest , I’ve been trying a two-day rest in-between my runs and currently find it beneficial , I have extra energy !
It's great that you have reached this point. Music and podcasts are a useful tool. Sometimes you can just enjoy the moment without either. It's like everything - it changes with the weather/ your mood/ your fitness/ your circumstances but that's what's great about running - we can make each run our own 🙂
