Going off plan

So during the 20 minutes run at the end of week 5 Mr Johnson said that running is a mental exercise and that our bodies can do more than we think.

So today I went off plan. I turned the app off and just ran a big loop. Considering I found week 1 and 2 painfully hard.......I just run for 31 mins without a break and I’m feeling tired but ok

The fact that you are tired is a clue...:) take it slow and steady..however you feel.... IannodaTruffe 's advice in the FAQ, explains why we follow the plan.

Hidden damage is just that...hidden... and taxing the newly found running legs too soon is not a great idea. The IC is a horrid place... and this journey is so great why rush it...:)

Congratulations, but please be careful.

The plan is progressive for good reasons. Most people feel fine until an injury strikes, then they invariably feel very annoyed and if they have gone beyond the programme they also tend to feel foolish.
