Gradually recovering our regular pattern after illness and proto-injury - Sunday we managed w6r2 which, but for giving my wife quite a troublesome blister, was pretty promising. So after another 2 day break we went out to do w6r3 with some trepidation....but we managed it. We really thought we wouldn't manage it what with the long breaks (we haven't had a rest of a single day for probably a month, it has always been two or more days) and the general lack of form. But as it happens it was fine - very slow but plenty of time to rectify that.
On the way back we saw a fully fluorescent real runner...and thought 'wow he's fast' - as he sped past like the wind. As I watched in stunned admiration I wondered - how long can he keep that speed up for, what distances does he do, how long has he been a runner for...and while we are scarcely comparable in performance what has really changed is that before C25K runners and joggers that I passed (invariably in the lazy comfort of my car) occupied a world completely alien to me - I didn't have a thought about them. And now we are part of the same continuum - runners (or at least that is what Laura told us at the end!).
Right had our recovery mini box of fruit juice - and now on to Cremant de Jura to celebrate the end of a week - a whole month after our last completed week!

Thanks two runs down now on week 7 and one more to go today - wife has been very brave with the blisters and they are under control if not completely healed!
Thanks! We had that feeling on Saturday when we did our first daylight run and it was much busier than normal...so many people walking at our running pace but never mind - put the rest of the family to shame as they were still couchbound just wife and I exercising!
Well done. Looks like you need a name change already!
Just in case you aren't aware of the plasters (not being pedantic - just another victim of predictive text - Hidden ) look for Compeed plasters at Boots etc.
