W5R3, go me!

I started C25k 12 weeks ago on 11 May but I’m sat here this morning having my usual cup of tea and feeling very happy that I’ve just completed W5R5. I think snails could pass me as I ‘run’ but I don’t care. I’m someone who never sticks at anything so just the fact that I’m still having a go 3 months in is amazing to me. I’ve not always managed to get out 3 times a week and have been in W4 and first two runs of W5 for a while now but couldn’t be happier that I’ve done the final W5 run first time out. Happy Friday all!

I am so pleased for you - and that you don’t care about your speed, you are in a fantastic place mentally. Get on Strava, because I have a feeling you will start being interested in speed and distance at some point in the future and it will be fun to see progress. C25K is the best thing i ever did - am still running 16 months later! Well done! 🥳🥳🥳

I’ll do that. My aim at the moment is just to keep moving but I would like to feel that I am running rather than shuffling but shuffling is good for now.

Shuffling is fine. People will encourage you - anyone who doesn’t isn’t a runner! I once ran past a colleague who waved at me and then when i said ‘oh yeh, you saw me running’ she said ‘well I wouldn’t call it running’ and I was really offended. Obviously over it now (!) - not one runner has ever been negative, even my brother in law who is marathon runner encourages me and my max is 8k. Shuffle for now, you’re out there 👍🏼

That’s encouraging- although I think I beat you on the snail front! I seem to get stuck on certain runs for a couple of weeks ( currently week 6 run 2). Really good to hear you’re enjoying it 😀

It’s all about the taking part in my view. Congratulations for keeping going. I haven’t posted in here since I started but today was a big deal for me. You’re clearly doing well if in week 6. Go you.

Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran 🏃🏾 👍
