Week one complete!

Finished week one!

First time running around streets rather than on the running track as I was at home and not university.

Struggled a lot more, had uphills and didn’t complete the last run so only did 7 minutes running in total.

My foot just ached way too much to carry on and figured I’d stop rather than risk injury.

Still in pain now 😔! Any remedies welcome!!!! Please!

I think I’ll still move on to week 2 on Monday as I’ll be able to use the running track again which will be much better... Scared to do 90 seconds running, but will have to see how it goes!

I struggled too, I am now on week 3. Advice given to me is to run really slow, I run at snails pace. The more you complete each run I found the better your breathing gets. Keep going you can do it ! 😊

Slow is great... you will be amazed where it gets you!

Well done... but... ( there's always a but) do this run again before moving on :)

You need to feel you have completed each run, properly and more importantly, comfortably before moving on...they are structured and each one builds on the one before as you complete the programme.

If you don't manage that you are asking for problems. Your foot hurts.. so... after some treatment for that, move onto this run again, steady and slow.

Not sure where the pain is... but elevation and ice may help. (PRICE treatment ) Do not run through pain though.

Check this out for some great advice.

I have repeated 2 runs that were incomplete for some reason and I'm glad. When I had to take 4 weeks off after flu (no energy at all) I started at the next run, so I didn't go backwards, but I had completed the previous runs successfully. Maybe give your foot a little tlc and repeat the run in a week or so. There's no shame in taking a little longer and you'll be less prone to injury.

That’s true, I might take off some time over easter and then restart week 2!
