Feeling good today that I've managed to complete week 2, knees and ankles a bit twingey but much better than than they were on Tuesday. I found if I concentrate on my breathing and how my feet land it's much more comfortable to run.. I love the podcasts too, they really help, much better than just timing it as I was doing on week 1...and the music is quite good and energizing for running too lol. Well...I say running..mine is more like a slow jog!

Well done, and good for you debze.

If your legs and ankles are tender, i t may be worth ensuring that you are stretching down properly.

Thank you , I'll try that next time, I've just been doing the 5 minute cool down walk but no stretches

Stretching down is, as we get older more and more important. I remember as a young nipper running 3 miles and showering straight away.

Those days are gone.

I use endomondo (have been for quite a few years) to log my training sessions. It allows me to create bespoke interval training sessions. One of those is for stretching down. It has 8x 30 second sessions with 10 second gaps to allow me to complete four different sets of stretches before two sets of 45 secs which when it tells me it is half way, I swap legs.

As such it ensures I stretch down properly. for around ten minutes....

There are various videos on youtube with suggested stretches for runners.

I hope this helps

Well done debze! :)

Glad to hear you've completed week 2 now and are about to venture into the same week as I'm currently on. It's not as bad as it sounds. Hang in there baby, you can do it! Oh, and a very slow jog is *far* better than a long slouch on a couch!! (I knew I should've become a poet!) :D
