Had been feeling quite weary after three 25 minute runs in 5 days, so I took an extra rest day before W7R3 today. First 5 minutes hard but OK. Middle part of the run was better, and I almost felt as though I was in a proper rhythm!
The last 10 minutes seemed to go on for about half an hour!! When Sarah said 5 minutes to go I was flagging, but Van the Man sang "Come on girl, too late to stop now", so I didn't. The next track was "Come Running", so obviously I had to finish the run.
Delighted to have completed Week 7, but a bit nervous about W8 as I'm not sure I have another 3 minutes to give!
We shall find out in due course.......πββοΈπ

I am glad I took the extra rest day - this isn't a race, after all! On my rest days I did some of the exercises from the video you posted earlier this week - plank and flutter kicking, etc - very useful, thank you!
Thank you as always for the encouragement. I shall be starting Week 8 on Sunday, and will report back!
Gobsmacked to have got this far, to be honest! ππ
I love it when things like this happen! Unfortunately I had the opposite experience recently, when just as Florence was singing to me, in the midst of the crescendo of Shake it Out, right when I needed it most, I heard "it's always darkest before the..." but instead of the blasting inspiring chorus, my headphones died, which did make me laugh out loud I suppose.
You are doing amazingly - can't wait to hear how you get on on Sunday - I will be running my last wk 7 run on Sunday so I am right behind you. Keep going - I find playlists are so important and really get me through.
Thank you so much! Bit nervous about Sunday but I've recovered some of the enthusiasm I had until recently. Week 7 has felt like a bit of a grind, but I'm now keen to see if I can handle Week 8! As you say, the music is key, as is the app and this forum!
Best of luck with completing Week 7 - you'll be in Week 8 before you know it! Happy running. ππͺπ
You know you can really. Somehow when the weeks tick over we're pretty much ready for the advances. You will be too. Good idea on the extra rest day, sometimes we just need it ππ€
When are you running next? Iβm a bit nervous about Wk8 π¬ Iβve planned my route to add on the extra 3mins to try and mentally prepare myself π
Well, I'm running on Sunday morning, and I have to say that I haven't planned my route yet, and I need to do so. Because today I tried a different route and ended up running backwards and forwards over part of the route because I hadn't worked out the distance beforehand.
However, I don't really care as long as I do the time! Good luck with your run - let's compare notes on Sunday. x
Haha thatβs funny! I kind of worked out a route for Wk7 that Iβve stuck to the last 3 runs, I think if I turn left instead of right at one point it will add enough minutes on for me. If not Iβll get go round the park a few times π
Enjoy your rest day, have a fab run on Sunday and letβs catch up then x
