I'm soooo happy! Me and my 8 year-old did run 2 of week 4 and it was great. It wasn't easy but we did it. He's really starting to get into the programme too, he was rushing me to get out straight after school
I'm gonna have to get him some bigger trainers, they wouldn't do his gait analysis at the shop but surely like me he needs a size up?
I still can't believe that in only a month we could potentiality run 30mins non-stop!
I hope everyone's having a good week

I would have thought gait analysis was equally as critical for a young person, because of the dangers of inhibiting bone growth. I’m not an expert - I leave that to the admins and mentors, but I would feel sure that gait analysis can’t hurt. I don’t know if the ‘one size up’ is a ‘standard’ rule as my Brooks are 1.5 sizes bigger than my normal shoes size but my Saucony’s are just one size up.
Thank you both. The man who did mine said they don't do gait analysis for the under 18s so I was disappointed but took his word for it. He said children can run in any shoe. I will do more research.
