The day has finally come...W9 R3 complete!! It was not the prettiest of evenings, full of very wet brown slush, lots of dirty puddles & soaking socks (on the correct feet) but was that going to get me down?? Haha no, cos I have made it & it feels so good π
I was a little bit naughty & continued over the 30 minutes to get to 5k, but you have to forgive me for that today of all days! What a feeling...I RAN 5K!! π
I love this forum, thank you all so much for being there, you kept me going & going & going all the way to 5k!
Any suggestions where to go from here?

So well done, especially in the slush! Enjoy the sight from the podium You can consolidate your 5k runs 3 times a week but remember to enjoy yourself. There are podcasts to help you improve speed and time, coached by Laura called C25K+ podcasts. You can also join the Bridge to 10K forum (you'll find the link on this site: healthunlocked.com/bridgeto10k ) and read Iannoda Truffe's FAQ post C25K pots in the pinned posts. Plenty to look forward to... Wish you a lot more great runs!
Congratulations and that's a tidy pace you've got going there, now is the time to consolidate your ability to run 5k so for a little while now I'd continue running 5k 3 times a week.
Maybe take on a park run or two just for the fun of it take this time to think about where you want to go next , further or faster or maybe both but this period will continue to build some strength into your new runners legs
I was dreaming in week 2, but the proof is right here!! You will do it!! I started on November 1st so it has taken me longer than 9 weeks but I repeated many runs & my dream came true yesterday! The βrunners highβ at the end of each run kept me going & during the tough times that was my focus.....imagining how I will feel at the end of this run π & also thinking I donβt want to have to repeat this one! π
