W4R1......Feels great!

I just wanted to say a big thanks to everyone who helped me with a question on timeframes a few weeks ago! I was having a bit of a crisis of confidence in a decision I had made to follow this program but progress to each new week when I felt ready to, rather than because I'd finished a week. The help I had from people on here made me feel like that was an ok decision to make, and so I've carried on.

Today, 13 weeks after starting the program, I have completed W4R1 on my first attempt and that feels like an amazing jump!

Last Friday, I was feeling pleased with my self for finishing a ( another! ) W3 run even though I was finding it tough, and that meant doing a total of 9 minutes running.....and today, on my very next run, I've made 2 big jumps : 1) I've ran for 5 minutes non stop - twice!!! And 2) I've increased my total running time to 16 minutes!!!

Definitely glad I stuck with it. 5minutes non stop was never a target but having done it, it feels massive

Thank-you to all of you who stopped me from feeling like a bit of a pansy and giving up

Xxxxxx

Congratulations to you on your achievement! I to completed W4R1 today - started to struggle during the last minute or so of the last 5 minute section, but I pushed through and managed to finish without stopping.

I must say I’m not looking forward to R2 but I’m going to give it my best shot.

Keep up the good work!!! 👍

Well done M1ssFranks! My second 5 minute run was a bit of a blur - my mind was foggy and my legs were hurting and I was kind of in robot mode. The first two and a half minutes of the second three minute run seemed to last forever though....that was the toughest part of the whole route

Very well done! Keep going! It doesn’t matter how long it takes you to get there, as long as you keep going. It will be worth all the stress and effort when you finally arrive on the podium.......and you will. I think, for a lot of people the breakthrough comes at week 5 run 3, when they think it will be impossible for them to achieve it and then surprise themselves! After that there is no looking back! Keep posting! We are all cheering you on!
