What music does everyone listen to? I have a running songs album but don’t like a lot of the songs on it. I also have a few 90s upbeat classics but now I’ve been running for a few weeks my playlist has got a bit stale. Any suggestions? ✌️

We all have our favourite tunes.. and what suits one would not suit another... my music is very odd...and very eclectic :)

Indeed, I have ABBA to thank for reaching my first 10K :) I am sure you will get lots of ideas in the replies:)

I have just made up my own playlists of songs that motivate me & put a spring in my step 😊

I listen to podcasts as I need to keep my brain engaged. Funny ones make me laugh which helps.

I bought a running album of roughly 20 sounds and I only like about 6. I just added them to a playlist with a bunch of high energy dance tunes that always make me want to move regardless of what I'm doing.

As Oldfloss says music is a very personal thing not one size fits all.

A couple you may know on my list are

Fat Boy Slim- Right Here Right Now

Darude - Sandstorm

Offaiah - Trouble

Martin Garrix - Animals

If you like that sort of music I can send you the full list 👍

Think I might have to pinch some of the hubby’s dance albums. I just like to be able to half sing along. Thanks for the suggestions 👍

Some of us are really into 80’s music - it’s an age thing (Retro Runners). It you put playlist into the forum search you should come up with posts containing suggestions.

I have about 7 or 8 different playlists as I need the variety- very low boredom threshold 🤣

If I have songs with words I try and ring and then can't run 😂 I go for Spotify classical or jazz playlists so still get tunes but nothing to sing to!

I use the podrunner app, continuous dance music and you can specifically choose the bpm so you can run at a pace comfortable for you!

Try looking up retro runners on Spotify or look for me on there

There’s quite a few C25K themed playlists - hope they help

I love to run and sing., I can’t sing for toffee but I have lots of fun playing at run karaoke. Beware ! some tunes make you want to dance and you bounce too much which wears you out and makes your stride go up and down too much. Fun though 😃. I don’t download any compilations I just download stuff I like. It varies according to what runs I'm doing. At the moment I need long songs with lots of words as I am running longer runs. Bob Dylan! What a guy 😃
