I just listen to my favourite songs. Some pop, alternative, rock, garage, metal, house all on the same playlist. It’s always a surprise and each song makes me smile. Happy running 🎧
I’ve got loads of my faves on my play list which I put on shuffle play so it’s all a bit random! Lots of rock, grunge and anything with a decent beat really! No sappy stuff though as it irritates me too much!! 😂😂😂
If you have Spotify try Hidden s play lists, my current favourite is the 2 tone /ska one but that might be an age thing (ir that I contributed) to the list, if you want nusic that helps you run at a steady pace, there are lots if podcasts and playlist at various constant beats per minute, the idea being you run in time to the music and that way keep a steady pace, never bothered myself, prefer to listen to music I like
Nowt wrong with a bit of 2 tone! Thanks for the Spotify playlist too!
I had to give music up. Found I was counting the minutes by adding up the songs, and my pace was all over the place. I listen to audiobooks now, I've never got on with them before, I prefer reading, but now I love listening to a good book as I run.
Don't get me started, hon, we'll be here for hours. Let's say "eclectic" but air guitar opportunities are always a bonus. And yes i have sung (in a knackered breathless way) from time to time xx
Personally I love to run to something not to full on. My current favourite is Fleetwood Mac and I can run for ages to their greatest hits album on shuffle. X
Ooh yes! Have forgotten about them- going to download now- in severe danger of singing along at the top of my voice though! Thanks for the inspiration
What stuff do you normally listen to? That's the music that you should be running along. If you listen to something that other guys suggested and you don't like it, then your run will be ruined. I've read lots of suggestions on the forum and liked not many, and likewise, my stuff may not suit a lot of people here. Each to their own. On the other hand, many run 'naked', as in without any music whatsoever. No Rules, is the main rule.
My daughter has spent ages on GarageBand creating her own running songs at different tempos... clever stuff indeed, she must get that from my genes, even though I have zero artistic talent.
I have found i run better/longer/ effortlessly without focusing on minutes/ distance left listening to comedy podcasts. Nearly laughing outloud at times! Love it! Will go on to audiobooks possibly later on.
But when i try music i would find a roadtrip compilation maybe?
Ancient times ago when we jogged with my friend during a-levels we listened to fleetwood mac, bryan adams (summer of 69 album) and chris rea of the same era. That music would energize me i think.
I love rock music but don't want to listen to anything too fast when running in case it messes up my pace (or lack of). Been mostly sticking to my fave .... the Stones
