Week 5 and a bit done!!

Knowing I’m on 12 he day shifts this weekend means I’m not going to realistically get out this evening.... so I jumped on the treadmill. Was due to finish week 5 with a 20 mind run. But actually forgot to stop running and before I knew it I was at 23 mins running!!! First time I’ve done that but I had some minor lower back twinge in places. I’ve stretched it out so hopefully that’ll be enough!!!

Well pleased with my progress!!!

Well done.

As you do longer runs you may well encounter lower back pain, which often indicates a core that needs strengthening, in relation to other musculature which is developing.

Planks etc. can soon rectify this.

Especially if you are feeling the impact of running in excess of the training plan, stick to the programmed runs.

To be fair that was the first run I’ve done over and above the plan....and that was so i was trying to be over keen. Back on the plan next time!!!

We have nearly all done it, at some point.

Brilliant. Well done. Don't forget to keep good posture when running. Engage the abs slightly to straighten up.
