Second attempt!

Success!!

Just like you all said it would be.

Took all your advice.....I calmed down, went slow, turned back at times to stay on good ground. And smashed it. And I feel so good now. 👍🏼

Thankyou for your support!

How is your Achilles feeling now? Any improvement?

Slow but sure. Still aches if I walk too much. The exercise regime I've been given is more exhausting than the running! The exercises are designed to progressively strengthen the tendon. I'm aiming for a return at the end of April as that will get holidays out of the way. Looking forward to restarting!! I hope you're enjoying your break :)

Yes and hopefully the weather will be better for you too. I’m getting so used to the cold that I’m not sure I’ll cope in the warmer months!

Back to icy England Sunday night and back to work Monday morning. Shouldn’t complain. I’ve had a good break and managed to fit 3 runs in. 👍🏼

You'll be coming back to "the beast from the east" but at least you'll be used to the cold!!

Haha! Yes, I’ve heard! It’s actually warmer here in Ålesund than at home apparently!

Thanks. It wasn’t easy but very different to my last run which was just awful right from the start. 🙈

Well done slow and steady means success!

ah that's great news, you are just one run ahead of me - I have my wk 7 run 3 tomorrow.... am still sore from yesterday's so hoping an early night and a quiet morning will get me ready for the 25 mins of puffing and panting! my husband may come with me who has had the flu which is good (!?!) as he can usually run 10 k without breaking into a sweat, so we should be on level ground so to speak!

Haha! Any excuse to keep him in his place! Good luck tomorrow. Don’t have expectations, just calm and cool determination to do your best.
