It’s was a cold start this morning but I was excited about starting Wk5 but at the same time nervous worrying would I be able to do it! The first 5 minute run wasn’t too bad but I did find the middle run tougher but I kept going. I couldn’t wait for Sarah Millican to tell me I could start walking again 😄 I took lots of deep breaths and prepared myself for the final 5 minute run and it was probably the most comfortable run out of the set...don’t get me wrong I was definitely ready for cool down walk.
I am apprehensive about R2 as it steps up to 8mins on the middle run which is the one I struggled the most with. How did everyone else find it who’s already completed Wk5? I’m keeping my pace slow and steady and just hoping that I can dig deep and run the full 8mins 🤞

Try not to focus on the actual time. Just get into a nice steady rhythm and if you start to struggle, just focu on getting to a point in the distance i.e. the next junction, lamppost, letterbox, junction, gate, etc. Once there, congratulate yourself and find another spot. Keep doing this and you will be surprised how much further you can push.
Thank you Jan. Back in Wk1 I never imagined I would be able to run longer than a 1 minute interval and here I am in Wk5 running for 5mins 😀you’re right I am ready 👊
Well done, week 5 feels like a milestone but you can do it with the approach you are taking.... you could mentally chunk it up which makes it more manageable ....
You’re on a build up plan, so it won’t be a problem we promise you. But slow and steady always gets you there... Just remember slow and steady, slow and steady...
