Everone must run at a different speed so some must be doing more than 5k in 30 mins and some less, what's the best running app people are using that you have to put the minimum info in? something bobby basic the opposite of strava show off type ones.

Cheers in advance.

I have tried two apps but my phone seems bit very keen and they’ve been just nuisance value

I use my garmin.

Endomondo is free and will give you the stuff you need and I think it will talk to you 😀

Mapmyrun is free and does everything needed. Logs your runs, measures your route as you run them, calls out time or distance as required, runs in the background whilst you listen to your music or the podcast etc.

I use the free basic version of MapMyRun but have turned off the in run announcements as they cut across the C25K one time. Panic! What did Jo say??? I plan on turning it on again once I graduate and am building on my times.

I use RunKeeper (free version) which seems good, and Strava- I don’t show off with it though! I like to look at what friends are doing and they can give me encouragement! It’s great!

I use Mapmyrun - the free version. It does what I need it to do - logs where I've run, how far, how fast and, if I want to, I can look at splits (time for each km). I listen to my music playlist on Deezer at the same time.

I know a lot of folks use their smartphone with MapMyRun, Endomondo, Runtastic etc but you can't beat a GPS watch for simplicity. I set my Garmin Forerunner up once when I first got it and haven't changed anything since. Charge it up once a week, press start/stop at the beginning and end of a run and that's it. It automatically syncs to the Garmin cloud when I get home and I can look at the data on the phone app or via web browser. It will even sync upstream to Strava, MyFitnessPal and a few others. I used Endomondo for the first part of c25k but forgot to charge up the phone enough before one particular run so I ordered a watch the same day. Haven't looked back since. Good luck!

Get a Mi Band 2. Does everything you want and much more. Free app ties in with it.

I use mapmyride which allows you to map running as well as cycling and walking... it's not intrusive - it doesn't take up too much battery and you can track progress and calories burned!
