Hi. I have just finished r3wk5. So happy to have run for 20mins!

Can't believe it, really happy.

I just wondered whyou the week 6 runs don't carry on running 20 mins but go back to 5mins and 8 min runs.

I am sure there is a really good, well thought out reason, but just interested and like to understand. I have found other advice really helpful especially the advice about how your body adapts early in the run and to slowly keep going. Thank you for all the support.

I wondered this too and run 1 of week 6 was harder than my 20 min run! I had it explained that over all the session is longer as the body doesn't cool down completely when walking so the shorter runs then walking work out to be a longer and harder workout! It is explained better on my post lol! X
