Go get checked out by the gp to be safe. We had a 10 day break due to flue and were worried about keeping up with the program. But managed to do it- I think all the previous weeks preparation helped. Just ease yourself back into it when your well again.

Been to dr - waiting urgent scan so hoping it will get sorted once they know what the problem is. Thanks for your reply . .

Don't worry about the running: get well first and check with a GP because it sounds like you're in a lot of pain. You can always go back to running once you've recovered. You won't lose much stamina if you're not able to run for 2 weeks. If it's more, then you'll adjust your runs to your level of fitness, gently but surely. But for the moment, you need to take care of yourself and get well, soon I hope.

Go and see a GP... then, we take it from there... the runs will wait:)

I had bad injuries and spent months off running each time. See a doctor now. If you don't like her/his assessment go see another one, preferably a sports physio (Google the best in your area and pay what they ask, you'll appreciate if later).

Very best of luck!
