25 minutes of running non-stop ! And im alive to tell the tale ๐๐
Can anybody give me any tips on pacing myself ? This is the 1 thing i struggle with , i almost always set off way too fast and have to slow down which leaves me really struggling at the end.

Once i realised what was happening, I started to just gently ease into my run, nice and slow, (it feels a bit silly when yoy are feeling so fresh๐..) then let your running build up as you relax into it.. By about 10 mins you may start to feel 'looser' and in 'the zone'...its a great feeling and then you have something left in the tank for the end of your run.
Good luck with Week 7, and listening to your body...๐xx
you read the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5... it tells you that you should be able to hold an unfaltering, ungasping conversation as you run. If not you are going too fast.
I find it hard to go slower than my usual pace as well, but I have a few tricks. The most effective trick I have is to start with an uphill. That forces me to start slow and then it sets the pace for the whole run. Another tip is to to really be careful about the music I pick. I run to the beat, so if my music is fast, I run fast. Also, if I'm looking to start a race or a Parkrun at a nice gentle speed I try not to pass anyone at the beginning, and to pace myself with someone that is a little slower than I'd normally run. Plenty of time to turn on the turbo later on in a race.
