I am on week 6 of the couch to 5K. I am just off to Thailand where it will be too hot (for me!) to run. When I get back in two weeks, should I just carry on where I left off, or will I have lost fitness and need to repeat weeks?
PS. I am new here, and deffo new to running (age 62)

I'm currently in Cambodia and the only way to run is to be out by 6.30 am. Though that sounds horrific it's actually the best time of the day as it's so hot and sticky later on.
Thanks, but I don't plan on running. My question was really about losing fitness and where to start back on the program.
I know you say you want a holiday free of running but I would urge you to reconsider. Running tourism is the best. Yes you would have to get up early but you will see a part of your holiday that you will otherwise miss. There are some great holiday running experiences described in posts on this forum. Why not pack your stuff and see how you feel?
If you don’t run for 2 weeks you should be just about ok to pick up where you left off. Maybe repeat the last run you did to test it out
Thanks for the encouraging advice, but another reason not to run on holiday is that I want to surprise my husband when I can run 5K. So far it's a secret! He has been a runner for years, and I want to see the look of shock and amazement when I suggest a 1/2 hr run.
