I had hoped to finish week 9 by now but I just find it too hot. I am going out about 6.45am and still dripping after a few minutes and my glasses slip. I am now carrying a bottle of water. I am going to keep going out and just do what I can do. I just need it to be cooler with a breeze. Has anyone else found this heat debilitating?

Too hot

Yes. It got too much today. I did a run then went volunteering with Canal and River Trust doing weeding in the sun. Couldn’t wait to have a cold shower. I thought about getting up at 6:30 then turned over and went back to sleep! You can get fabric thingies to hold your glasses in place, my safety glasses have them. Maybe that could help?

Yes it's too hot for me. I'm considering inventing a towelling headband / fan combo. Perhaps solar powered. I certainly needed one today!

Totally with you. I'm stuck on week 9 too and praying for just 2 days of no heat to get over he graduation line!

yes definitely - I have a shady route under trees by a stream and I double back up and down it rather than emerging into the sun. this leaves me further away from home when I stop, but it's easier to walk back in the sun than to try running it. I had a dud run last week because of the heat.

also i use a wet squeezy swimming chamois that has to be long enough to carry round my neck and tuck under my collar - that helps a lot - one like this in a plastic container that has to stay wet - not the microfibre towels swimoutlet.com/p/sporti-26-...
