Amazing transformation - well done you!! You must be very proud and determined. You will love this running lark - it's addictive. 😜

I'm very, very impressed indeed. That is a great success.

Have you held onto any old clothing to compare then and now?

Could I suggest you look at my all-time-favourite Youtube running video? It's called 'running for my existence'. There are follow-up ones too - one of which is very moving when you get an update on Julia...

Will take a look. Thank you very much. Trying so hard. Dropped from 58 inch waist to 40 now!

W1r3 today!

No, thank YOU. It is your hard work; your determination and courage that has achieved this.

Just remember that it isn't a race and the prize at the end is the best there is - your own achievement.

We are all so very proud of you. Keep going, keep posting and we will keep supporting and encouraging you all the way.

Wow that is a great achievement with reducing your weight, well done, really terrific!

Welcome to the forum. Please take a look at this as there is some great advice and info there

healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Im a little confused why you are pushing yourself significantly outside of the programme requirements. As a new runner please pull back to do as the programme requires . That will help ensure you remain without overuse injury and therefore stay off the injury couch.

That's a massive weight loss. you are an inspiration!

Well done on your progress thus far. An amazing feat! 👍🙂

Take care though! No need to push at all. It won’t help! You will hurt yourself. Go slowly! Slow running builds legs.

This is a brilliantly successful programme but only if you are fit enough to complete it. You don’t want to get injured and be unable to finish the job.

You have to get strong before you can get fast! Not the other way about

Slow and steady! Nag nag nag 😁

Have fun! This running lark is a blast! 👍

Great progress, but if you are doing programme, please don't push beyond the proscribed runs. Because you can do something does not mean your body is conditioned to handle it.........that is the whole point of a progressive training plan.

This runner thought he knew better healthunlocked.com/couchto5.... and lived to regret it.

There is also the issue of people posting their deviations from the plan on this forum, making a mockery of our roles as mentors, whose role is to guide others safely through the programme. For your own safety I would advise you to stick to the plan and for the safety of others, I would ask you not to post your deviations here as it may encourage others to take unnecessary risks.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Take care.

Thanks all. I joined the ct5k app on my phone and thought i would do a post. I did not mean to make "a mockery" of the programme or admins.

Quite harsh words from an admin to a new user on there first post.

I understand the sentiment however there is other ways to explain it. I am using the app as part of my gym routine including rowing, cycling, swimming.

Thank you to all the supportuve comments. I was 31.5 stone. Lost 10 myself by eating less crap and moderate exercise. Then in october joined slimming world and lost another 3 stone so far.

Really ramping up the exercise now to shift the last 25lbs or so.
