So icy!

So I’d planned W1R3 this morning. It’s super icy outside and -3. I don’t know what to do as I’m as clumsy as they come and I do slip and trip easily. What do I do? I want to stay on track. What would totally recommend to do inside today instead? Xx

Personally, and speaking as someone who is still struggling with ankle and knee twinges from slipping over 3 weeks ago.... I would say either do it later in the day, or, a different day altogether.

You may be disappointed today but better than not being able to run at all (possibly for a long time)

-in my case, I didn’t even know it was icy!.. I’d finished my run, and was walking back up my street😡😡😡

Stay home...if the ice melts, then head out, if not wait... it is really not worth risking a fall. Think Bambi on ice...:)

Don't risk it! It gets icy here a lot and stays that way for days. I've never been any good when it's slippery. In sheer frustration, I ran round my house for 25 minutes late last year. That decided me to get a small fold up treadmill (christmas present). I hate it, but it does the job when I can't run outside. I would have used the one in the gym, but the route there was up and downhill on icy pavements.

I slipped a few weeks ago and landed on my hip and shoulder (ouch) and good job that I have a bit of meat on my bones or I’m sure I wouldn’t have done more damage than bruises. It’s sipposed to be like this with snow until Thursday. Will hope it thaws slightly later on and I can get out. Thank you for the replies xx

Maybe I should have reworded the initial post! What would you do instead of running when it’s icy outside?
