Apple watch 3 Nike+ Edition/5k runner Pro app

Looking for an apple watch 3 expert/5krunner app. I am looking to run hands free. Can I do this with a third party app without adding cellular and without taking my phone? I have contacted the developer but haven't heard back. Thanks.

I will ask my son about this, we bought him an Apple Watch for Christmas and he seems to do everything on it.... running and all his other workouts.

The Workout app on Watch 3 allows you to run with GPS on the watch. It does not require cellular & does not require your iPhone to run with you.

I don’t know about the 5Krunner app.

Thanks Mark! This app helps me prepare to run a 5k so each week the workouts progress in run/walk intervals. I’m thinking to use it without my phone I’d need cellular. *sigh*
