Morning all. I'm trying to find a way to take the C25k app running with me along with some music without having to cart my iPhone around as well. I know I can get music on an app me watch & pair with Bluetooth headphones but for anyone know if the C25k app will work on the Apple Watch if I don't take my phone with me? Or has anyone any other ideas or suggestions? Thanks for your help & happy running everyone ππππ»ββοΈπ΅

I only take my watch ,when you play music you can choose to use phone or watch its great not having to carry my phone

Yes I have both on my watch just took a bit of playing around for me to work out how to use them πI also use blue tooth ear piece to listen to music
which c25K are you referring to? ...I can;t find one what works only with the Apple watch (without the iPhone being carried as well).

Hi - Thanks! ...I just contacted the developer who says the iPhone needs to be with the watch.
Must be different apps
strange - it is definitely the app from the developer you mentioned.
They said you need the two together to update the iPhone with the run info. How do you do that - does it connect automatically when you are back in range?

I have Jo Wiley on my app it's like having your very own coach next to you, I listen to favourite tracks or albums on Spotify it depends how you feel Pink Floyd or Foo Fighters, Stones. I just hold my phone in my hand, maybe get on of those holders for my arm when I am a proper runner. Half way through week 8 now, the first 5/10 minutes are the worst, I then get in my rhythm ., maybe that's why I found it hard doing the five minute runs?? Keep going everyone!
I have Jo WIley too (and Spotify in the background), but this is my first week (have just completed run 2) and so far only on a running machine (so the iphone can be placed on the machine). I'd like to get out but would like to avoid taking the iPhone with me if I can.
Have you had any luck Chunky monkey??? Im finding it infuriating not being able to just have my watch with me!
Hi - I posted about an app that is Apple Watch only that lets you listen to podcasts downloaded to your Watch. I have subscribed to the NHS C25K podcast from the app on my Watch and I just download the podcast(s) for the week and off I go. No phone!

I started doing the couch to 5K during lockdown and faced the same issue. I really wanted to just take my watch and leave my phone at home.
I couldnβt find a Couch To 5K app that worked well independently on the Apple Watch. So in the end I decided to create my own and I've just released it on the AppStore. It's called "Watch to 5K".

Hi, I am interested in this. Restarting c25k (have completed twice previously but a long time ago), would love option to not take phone and just use watch. Does it have to be the GPS version of the watch or does it transfer data when back in vicinity of phone?
