So I was sat in my office at home watching the rain and sleet hammering against the window thinking to myself "Well I said that I was going to get back into a routine and run Sun, Tues, Thurs every week but I am NOT going out in THAT!"
And then the sun came out and it was glorious and I was thinking to myself "Well I can't see that lasting today."
And then I thought it was a while since I had nipped into the forum so I would dive in and get some inspiration from all of you great people who are out there sticking to the plan and pushing yourselves towards that graduation badge.
And there it was. A post from Mummycav saying about how she had just got back in from the elements and how she was reflecting on the change from the Mummycav of 12 months ago. Back in the day this was the person who battled through the 9 week course and preferred a brew to a run. Well if she is out there then some am I !!
Black leggings, blue shorts and yellow top and I was Minion-ed up and off.
I have set my mind on getting back to 3x week after time off through illness and then 'cheese and port season' and so just took at nice and slow 30minute 3.5km. It was great.
Probably wouldn't have bothered if I hadn't popped into the forum for a nosey.

Aww..that’s just a fantastic post!!! It really is important what we have on here, not only for advice but for me, the inspiration...that’s the thing that keeps me going...& if I inspired you to get out of that jar of yours today GingerBohemian , imagine the people that you inspired whilst you were out there running along, unaware of the people that maybe now, are sat at home, clutching their brew, downloading the C25k app & searching on Amazon for running gear to become one of us crazy beings??! 😉😉🏃🏻🏃🏼♀️🏃🏻🏃🏼♀️
I often drop by when I am drinking my pre run tea. If I don't feel like running there will often be a post that makes me reflect that a) running sounds like fun or b) if that person can run with those additional challenges then I mustn't shirk or c) oh they are injured, I am lucky to be able to run or d) man up Helen! or e) remember when you were starting out and couldn't run for toffee, that's why you need to keep it up etc etc etc.
Awww, what a lovely thing to say Sadie-runs ..I would like to think I was inspiring most of the time...as often as I am inspired myself would be wonderful!!! 😊 xx
