Hang on in there. Running regularly (2-3) times a week) makes it much easier to progress. It is a matter of use it or lose it, in respect of fitness levels.

Have you read this gide to the plan?healthunlocked.com/couchto5... It may be helpful.

I peeled myself off the couch at 7.45 pm and2 degrees outside.. and did the w2 r2 ! And feel fine- red faced.

I really appreciate all the advice and the go slow tip-

Welcome to the forum. You’ve definitely come to the right place for encouragement and advice.

Well done for peeling yourself off the couch. I, like many others, have had my fair share of challenges, asnd as a lifelong confirmed runner at the age of 52 I took up the C25k programme and still find it amazing that I can run at all. I was dead chuffed when I hit 5k and astounded when I managed 10k. It’s incredible what you can do, so good luck and happy running. 🏃🏽‍♀️

Thanks for the encouragement Razouski- I have read your writings and you have indeed had your share and more- and I’m glad you found your Mojo.. reading others stories is inspiring for me - And helped me off the couch this evening- and I smiled about.. it between the lunging breaths that is..
