I have been brisk walking for a few months so I have now decided I will have a go at running. I have never run but will do my first tomorrow

Hello and welcome. What a terrific, potentially life changing decision.

Hopefully you have found the C25k podcast or app here

nhs.uk/Tools/Pages/Couch-to...

There is also a written plan and Strength & Flex downloadable programme here ( for non run days).

nhs.uk/Livewell/c25k/Pages/...

And lots of really useful information here

healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Come back and let us know how you are doing 😃🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏻

Brisk walking for some time before C25K is the ideal preparation for C25k.

Well done. You will love it. Keep us posted with your journey. It helps new runners as well as yourself to see how far you have come.

Happy running :)

Good luck Burnhambeach. I was like you - I'd done about a year of walking 7 - 10km nearly every day when I started. I decided to do this programme because it would help me get fitter but also because my 90 minutes of walking was too time-consuming! This is a great programme, just take it gently and enjoy it.
