Hello Lynne, and welcome!

Are you doing the C25k programme that this forum supports? If not why not download the podcast or the app both available here.

This is the second post regarding the nhs1000 challenge. For clarity, what exactly is the challenge please?

Hi great to hear from you, I will be starting my 1000k with walking and power walking, slowly building up to running. Good luck with all you do. Lynne

Thank you, you too!

There is a walking forum you may be interested in as a starting point, here is a link.

When you move on to running you will be using different muscles so perhaps the c25k programme maybe useful for you at that point.

Enjoy!

Think it's a bit too much for me so not really accessible, albeit once you include walking and cycling as well as running it does add up.

Our current challenge is to keep up our running pinkaard. You are doing brilliantly well!

As ever on this forum we should remain slow and steady in our build ups thereby aiming to avoid injury.

Happy new year and happy running!
