Graduated today!! β˜ΊπŸ‘Š

I hadn't run since school, but over 25 years later, thought I'd give the Couch to 5k progamme a go. 10 weeks on, I've run 3 x 5km runs in the space of a week (30:53, 31:45 & 32:01). Unbelievable.

It's been hard work, and not the best of weather and at the moment, I can't imagine ever being able to run for more than 5km... but I aim to do a 10km in the summer, so I'm determined to find a way.

Congratulations JamesπŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

Well done on Graduating the c25k plan.

The way to 10k starts with consolidation...more 30 minute runs. Still take your rest days.

New runners legs take time to strenghten, in order to avoid injury stick to 30 min runs for at least two weeks then head over to the Bridge to 10k site where you will get lots of tips and information about increasing your distances.

Well done and ask for your badge here...

Just take your time and you will progress with minimum injury risk.

And if you follow the wise advice of the experienced runners on here then there is no doubt in my mind that you will happily be running 10k by the summer.

Fantastic, well done- and a brisk pace too! πŸ˜„

If you can do 5k, there is no reason why you can't build up gradually to 10k.

I haven't looked at it myself yet, but the bridge to 10k program that Ju Ju has made sounds good when you have consolidated your 5k for a few weeks. Other people on here will know more about that than me. Enjoy the next part of your running adventure. πŸ˜ƒ
